“If a tree falls in a forest,
and no one hears it,
does it actually make a sound?”
And I always laugh
Because who are we to say
That the birds didn’t cry
The caterpillars didn’t curse
The flowers didn’t gossip
And the dirt didn’t gasp?
Oh human kind, always revolving the world around themselves
Remember where you come from
Remember where you will go
Then, you will be humbled
And you will know
That the tree indeed made a sound
You just weren’t listening.
